Step 1 of 4
About your child
Just enough context to understand your answers. No names needed.
This research is for adults age 18 or older who care for an autistic or neurodivergent child ages 2–8. Participation is voluntary. You can stop at any time, and you can skip any question that is not marked required. Your responses will be used to help shape the early Calm Pals product and better understand what caregivers experience during overwhelming moments.
Please do not include your name, your child’s name, email address, phone number, or other identifying details in your answers.
Select all that apply. A formal diagnosis is not required.
Step 2 of 4
What happens in the moment
Think about a recent time your child became overwhelmed.
What did you notice, and what happened next?
Words, sounds, gestures, pictures, behavior, leading you somewhere, or anything else.
Step 3 of 4
What you try
I want to understand what already helps and what makes those moments harder.
These may come from your own experience, an OT, SLP, teacher, therapist, another caregiver, or somewhere else.
Step 4 of 4
What would make it easier
Last three questions.
Optional, but often important.
It is completely okay if the answer is no.
Calm Pals does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or your child’s name in this form. Responses are transmitted securely through Cloudflare and delivered through Resend for product research purposes. Responses will not be sold. Please avoid including identifying information in your written answers.
